Double digits, Ethan is ten months! Guys, we’re just shy of Ethan’s first birthday by less than two months. I can’t believe it’s almost been a year since he came into our lives. I know it’s so cliché to say, but it feels like yesterday (ok maybe slightly longer than that) since we had brought him home and introduced him to Beatrice. And now he’s nearly a toddler! Ten month old baby. It’s funny, I see all these new moms with their little babies, and I still feel like them but with a much older baby! I guess that feeling doesn’t go away (or does it?!).
So Ethan at ten months. He’s really into food which is great and tries everything. The only thing he has not liked so far, has been kiwis. I love making him purees and coming up with new ideas. We have recently started finger foods so more on that next month!
Ethan has been swimming all summer and really enjoys being in the pool. He took a class which has helped him hold his breath when he goes under water and overall teaching him pool safety. It’s made him very comfortable in the pool. He starts his next swim class session this Saturday!
We took Ethan on a quick getaway to NYC. We had a lot of fun and he was great. This was his first real ‘trip’, unless of course you count vt, which he has been visiting often since he was born! Vt is like a second home to me so NYC was his first trip to me. And also very fitting as I love that city! I honestly feel at home when I am there.
We’ve also noticed that Ethan is playing really well with his two year old cousin. She’s really good with him. He loves playing with Beatrice too and she’s good with him too (phew). Ethan is constantly playing and seeking adventure and exploration. It’s fun. But between that and the super fast army crawl I feel like I’m constantly running after him! I know, I know… just wait until he’s walking, let alone running! I love when he is playing in his play yard (confined space) and I can get some stuff done. We’ll see for how much longer it lasts.
Here are some of Ethan’s highlights at ten months.
And some pictures from the last month.
